ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, District 3 representative Carl Perry, who is on the Medical Marijuana Subcommittee a recap of the meeting that took place Monday at Pierre.

Representative Perry summarized statements made by Yvonne Taylor, Executive Director of SD Municipal League about whether municipalities may or may not be interested in having dispensaries.

Jason Wahl with ND Department of Health testified about why there are 8 regions for dispensaries in North Dakota.

Representative Perry talked about Dr. Kenneth Finn’s testimony regarding concerns about the youth getting access to medical marijuana in Colorado.

One group the committee has not heard are from the hospitals themselves.  Representative Perry told me they have been invited to the next committee meeting in August.

Representative Perry preview the trip next week to Des Moines, IA & Flandreau.
