FRANKFORT, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Authorities in Spink County, South Dakota, responded to an accidental drowning on Sunday.
Officials report that a 17-year-old from rural Frankfort, South Dakota, jumped off of a bridge into the James River.
The incident happened south of Frankfort, in Spink County.
Dive teams conducted a search. After two hours, they found the young man’s body.
The Spink County sheriff, coroner and ambulance responded, with other agencies assisting.
The incident was ruled an accidental drowning.
