Doctors concern about Covid-19 going up as schools start

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- As kids return to school late this summer, there is some concern that Covid-19 will also come back.

Liz Healy, infection control specialist at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, says each school may see different results.

Healy says prevention can also depend on a schools physical plant.

Healy says kids normally share infections once they come back together.

The latest update from the state Department of Health said there were just over forty-two hundred active cases and ninety three people in a hospital.
