SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota Board of Regents last week reported a drop in student numbers at the six state universities of about three percent.
Regents Executive Director Brian Maher says the drop will have an impact on their finances.
Maher says the drop was not as bad as they initially expected.
Maher says they see a couple of big issues.
Maher says when he was Superintendent in the Sioux Falls school district, he did not have a good understanding of what the universities offered to their students and the state.
