RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- All of West River and most of East River is currently in drought conditions. Despite recent snowfall, Rapid City Fire Department Public Information Officer Tessa Jaeger said fires continue reigniting.

Jaeger said even the wind conditions can reignite piles.

Jaeger said it isn’t just those who burn intentionally who need to be aware of the conditions.

Currently, Jaeger and the RCFD advise against all burning.
