PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Drought conditions will so force the hand of some producers when it comes to 2021 decision making for crops. Andrew White is an agronomist with C-H-S Midwest Cooperatives in Pierre. He says farmers are looking at their options.
White says if things stay dry until June it will be a cause of concern for producers.
White covers areas west of Fort Pierre in the Hayes area and says some of the worst drought extends north from there.
White says farmer should also consider nitrogen stabilizers in their fertilizer programs to keep nutrients in the ground during hot, windy conditions.
