COLUMBUS, O.H.(WNAX)- With the heat expected to turn up next week and for most of the summer, drought conditions will expand across the region.
Ohio State Climatologist Aaron Wilson says the climate outlooks predict drier conditions spreading.
Wilson moderated the latest North Central Region climate outlook and said expanding drought also means higher wildfire danger.
Wilson says those dry conditions will continue to spread later into summer.
Wilson says its part of the lingering La Nina which is expected to last at least into early fall.
