SOUTH DAKOTA(KWAT)- Over half of South Dakota’s land mass is no longer considered to be in any level of drought.
The weekly drought monitor map shows all areas up and down the Interstate 29 corridor, and a large chunk of northwest South Dakota drought-free.
The Drought Monitor shows 61-percent of the state has adequate soil moisture.
The driest area of the state continues to be in the southwest corner, where western Custer County remains in severe drought.
