MITCHELL, S.D. (KMIT) – The holidays can be an emotional time for some, and not in a positive way. Laurie Gill with the South Dakota Department of Social Services says there is a resource people can use if they want to reach out for help.
She says the 211 resource is like a 911 for mental health.
Gill says the department has seen an uptick in people reaching out for help during the pandemic.
She says that for those who don’t want to make a phone call, there is an online resource for help at www.605strong.com.
