VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- The Human Services Center in Yankton got a lot of attention this week with the visit of the Joint Committee on Appropriations, Department of Social Services Secretary Laurie Gill and Governor Kristi Noem.

Gill says it was educational for the legislators to visit the facility.

Gill says they talked about the change happening in mental health services.

Gill says there is still a need for more services across the state.

Two of the units at the mental health hospital are still closed due to a lack of staffing.
