OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- The first month of the new year was not a good one for economic conditions in the Mid America region.

Creighton University Professor Ernie Goss says his survey of business managers shows a distinct slow down.

He says they also saw employment losses.

Goss says their job index is dropping.

Goss coordinates the survey in the nine state Mid America region from the Dakotas and Minnesota to Arkansas.
