Economic growth in Midwest showing signs of slowing

OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- Worker shortages, supply chain issues and inflation are the big worries of regional businesses.

Creighton University economics professor Ernie Goss says that is from his survey of companies in the nine state Mid America region.

Goss says shortages of products could be widespread by the end of the year.

Goss says because of inflation, interest rates could begin moving upward by early next year.

The monthly survey for September showed while the regional economy was still growing, that growth was slowing.
