OMAHA, N.E.(KELO)- Mixed signals on the regional economy, as we see improvements in Manufacturing in spite of job losses and high inflation.

Creighton University’s monthly Mid-American Business Conditions Index was in positive territory for the fifth straight month.

Economist, Dr. Ernie Goss says the region has lost 15-thousand jobs over the past 12 months.

The manufacturing sector in South Dakota lost about 800 jobs over the last year…that’s 1.8% of its manufacturing base.
