OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – While the Mid America economy is showing continued signs of recovery, more help is needed.

Ernie Goss, director of Creighton University’s Economic Forecasting Group, says progress on COVID-19 is critical.

Goss says many businesses are having a hard time getting the supplies they need.

Goss says a large part of the U.S. economy is still closed down.

The overall Mid America index for August was just over 60 which shows an expanding economy.
