Egypt reaches deal to buy soybeans from South Dakota producers

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Egypt has reached its first trade deal to buy soybeans directly from South Dakota producers.

The trade delegation’s Hamdi Saleh broke the news on Kelo’s It’s Your Business Show with Bill Zortman.

 

The Egyptians have been on a five day visit to South Dakota and Iowa looking at trade deals and ag technology.

Apparently there are more deals to come.

 

State Representative Michael Saba invited the Egyptians to South Dakota, figuring what with trade wars on the national level, it was time South Dakota dealt directly with buyers. ..to see what could be accomplished.
