ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Eighth Annual Lexy Becker Memorial Blood Drive is set for Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Aberdeen Mall.

Melissa Becker, whose daughter Lexy passed away in November of 2012, provides the details.

Becker said the event is special to her because Lexy received more than 250 units of blood and 600 units of platelets as she battled leukemia.

Becker said the drive has gone well through the years with people donating blood who had never met Lexy.

The drive will be located just outside of Dunham’s. Becker said that walk-ins are welcome or people can make appointments.
