Emergency operations center activated in Brown County

ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – Today the emergency operations center was activated in Brown County. As communities begin preparations for the COVID-19 virus, our primary objective at this time is to provide a centralized and unified point for releasing current and valid information. Again, the activation of the emergency operations center is strictly a proactive and precautionary measure at this time.

As of 5 p.m. Sunday evening, there has not been any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brown County. We will continue to work with federal, state and local health care providers to monitor testing and provide new information as it becomes available.

Currently, our primary focus is the health and safety of the citizens in Brown County. Over the next few days, we will continued to provide verified information about COVID-19.
