Energy producers still paying back from the freeze in Texas last year

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- When Texas froze up a year ago, it caused electric black outs and massive natural gas price spikes from the Mexican border to Canada.

Tom Glanzer with Northwestern Energy says their gas customers are still helping pay back that tab.

Glanzer says energy producers are seeing more unusual events.

Glanzer says they continue to work to expand their energy production capabilities.

Natural gas prices are up twenty to fifty percent over last year.
