PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) – Enplanements at Pierre Regional Airport continue to slowly recover from bottoming out at 41 in April. Airport Liaison to the Pierre City Commission Jamie Huizenga says boardings crossed the 600 mark in September.

Huizenga says that hunting season in central South Dakota is looking productive for more Pierre Regional passengers.

Total enplanements at Pierre Regional Airport in 2020 are 5,354. August enplanements were 504 with 500 in July, 228 in June and 127 in May.
