PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- As part of the wrap up of the 2023 South Dakota legislative session, the Executive Board approved two summer studies.
District 16 Senator Jim Bolin of Canton proposed the first one.
Bolin says the study should have some identified goals.
The Board selected Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton to chair that committee.
District 18 Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton moved the other study.
Stevens says the counties are catching lots of expensive programs.
The E-Board chose Representative Roger Chase of Huron to chair the county study. Both committees will report back with any possible legislation this fall.
