PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday the South Dakota Executive Board officially announced the legislators for the upcoming summer studies on juvenile justice, regional jails, & property taxes.
Among the legislators in our region that will be doing summer studies are the following:
None were selected for the juvenile justice or property taxes summer studies.
A motion was made for the following legislators for the summer study on regional jails.
That was approved on a 13-1 vote. Senators Bryan Breitling of Miller, Al Novstrup & Michael Rohl of Aberdeen & Representative Carl Perry of Aberdeen to be members of that summer study.
A Legislative Task Force has also been set to look into the Incarceration Construction Fund.
Senator Brock Greenfield of Clark will be a member of the task force.
Speaker of the House Spencer Gosch put in a recommendation for Brown County Commissioner Mike Wiese to be a member.
Wiese was approved by the Executive Board.
