YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- A major expansion by Manitou in Yankton has them adding up to eighty new employees in the next year.

Rita Nelson, head of Workforce Development for Yankton Thrive, says that’s a big challenge.

Nelson says they are getting more outside interest in jobs and living in Yankton.

Nelson says the “Build Dakota” scholarships that were awarded to students this week help companies find the workers they need.

South Dakota’s unemployment rate in March was one point nine percent.
