ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Police Department and the Aberdeen Fire Department will be hosting an Explorer open house on Thursday, Oct. 10. The event takes place at the Aberdeen Police Station. The Police Department will go first from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the Fire Department from 7 to 8 p.m.

Chris Scott, Firefighter Paramedic with the Fire Department, talked about the event.

He said the Police Department will provide much the same experience.

Scott said a goal of the Explorer program is to provide insight for those who may be considering a job in the profession.
