PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Chairman Mike Faith spoke to state lawmakers Thursday during the “State of the Tribes” speech. He says public servants need to cooperate.
Faith talked about the toll that Covid-19 has had on tribal members.
Faith says they have received some vaccines and are using them to protect their culture.
Faith says areas where the state and tribes can cooperate include law enforcement, addiction treatment and the common experience of the pandemic.
