WINNER, S.D.(DRGNews)- The Tripp County Sheriff’s Office and the Winner Area Chamber of Commerce are alerting area businesses about an attempt to use fake money at a business in Winner.

Information from the Chamber says someone tried to use a bogus $20 bill at the Runnings store.

Tripp County Sheriff Shawn Pettit says there’s only been one report of the counterfeit money so far and the incident remains under investigation. Businesses are encouraged to remind their employees to be on the look for counterfeit bills.
