BROOKINGS, S.D. (WNAX) – Enrollment at the six state universities is down from a year ago, but more students came back to their campuses this fall.
South Dakota Board of Regents Executive Director Brian Maher broke down the numbers.
Maher says the percentage of students coming back to continue their education went up.
Maher says all of the schools have focused on getting their students to return.
USD saw a 4.6 percent decline while SDSU student numbers were down about one percent.
