SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – The start of fall is also the start of crossover concern season for coronavirus and influenza.

Dr. Mark List, a family medicine physician with Avera Health in Sioux Falls, says anyone who comes in feeling ill will probably get tested for the flu and coronavirus.

List says they are continuing the test protections that have been in place.

List says you should call your health provider before you come in.

List says the flu season has been milder than normal in the southern hemisphere due to COVID precautions that people are taking.
