Farm stress workshops taking place

VIBORG, S.D. (WNAX) – Northern Plains farmers have been under a lot of stress this year with weather challenges, low commodity prices and the trade war. To help battle that, SDSU Extension and Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Viborg are offering a pair of workshops Thursday.

Tonya (rud) Rudd is a Registered Nurse and Director of Clinic Operations for Pioneer. She says the workshops came about due partially to federal regulations.

Rudd says there will be two workshops.

She says sometimes it’s difficult for producers to come forward and admit they’re under stress but their Doctors, Nurses and Hospital staff along with SDSU extension specialists are available to help.

To register for either workshop just email Tonya.rudd@sanfordhealth.org or call 605—326—3045.
