OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- While the Mid America economy appeared to take a positive jump with the February report, that may be an outlier.
Creighton University economics professor Ernie Goss, who coordinates the monthly nine state survey, says he doesn’t see the positive movement continuing.
The overall reading for February jumped to fifty six point one, well above growth neutral.
Goss says inflation is still running too hot.
Goss says he expects another half point jump in the prive rate.
The nine states in the survey range from the Dakotas and Minnesota to Oklahoma and Arkansas.
