Federal Government to remain open for another month

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Congress approved and President Trump signed another short-term continuing resolution that keeps the federal government funded and open for another month.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds voted “no”.

Rounds says the CR covers only a small part of the entire federal budget.

Rounds says passing a CR has costs, pointing to a cyber security program that had been approved.

Congressman Dusty Johnson also voted no, while Senator John Thune voted to approve the CR.
