ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The first Aberdeen Area and NSU Employment Expo and Job Fair took place at the Barnett Center on the campus of Northern State Wednesday.

There are have been separate job fairs in the past, but this marked the first time that Aberdeen Office of the South Dakota Department of Labor, Northern State and the Aberdeen American News joined forces to put on the event.

Britt Lorenz, Director of the NSU Career Service Center, talked about how the entities came together for the job fair.

When asked if there would likely be future combined events, Lorenz said she hoped so.

She said a variety of candidates attended the event.
