YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- While much of the focus on the next Farm Bill will be on production agriculture, a major piece of that also includes food programs like SNAP.

Lori Dykstra, C.E.O. of Feeding South Dakota says they feel the direct impact of the Farm Bill and other federal programs.

Dykstra took part in the Farm Bill Forum at Dakotafest last week. She says the need for food continues to grow.

Dykstra says they would like to see some changes in the next Farm Bill.

Congress will debate the next five-year Farm Bill next year.

Estimates are it will top a trillion dollars over that time.
