YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency are going out to individuals in South Dakota that had their homes and businesses damaged in the March storms and flooding.
FEMA spokesperson Pam Saulsby says they have seen all types of damages.
Just under $7 million has been paid out so far.
Saulsby says FEMA people will stay in the state as long as they are needed.
Saulsby says they don’t know for sure when counties and cities will see FEMA funding.
FEMA found about $43 million in damages to public infrastructure across much of the state.
