FEMA officials finish field work in South Dakota

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency have made inspections in almost 60 counties and several Indian Reservations following damaging floods and storms in March.

FEMA spokesman Brian Hvinden says they got the field work done last week.

Hvinden says the next step is up the state and Governor Kristi Noem.

He says they found damage across almost the entire state.

Hvinden says some federal funds could begin flowing as soon as a Presidential declaration is announced.
