WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Teams from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be in most counties in the state this week, looking at damage to public infrastructure from March storms and flooding.
FEMA Spokesman Daniel Breen says they will rely on county emergency managers.
Breen says they will be looking at a lot of public infrastructure.
Breen says they hope to get through the damaged areas fairly rapidly.
The damage amounts found will determine if Governor Kristi Noem asks for a Presidential disaster declaration.
