WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Multiple rounds of disasters have kept the Federal Emergency Management Agency active in South Dakota for many months.
FEMA spokesman Phil Wernisch says they have a long list of disaster assistance requests.
Wernisch says there is no set time for those local governments and agencies to get payments.
Wernisch says they are also working on the latest round of disaster requests.
Wernisch says they have about 280 FEMA staffers still working in the state.
