VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – A number of states have joined Texas in asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hold up certifying final Presidential election results.
USD Law School Dean Neil Fulton says the filing questions if election law was followed in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Fulton says the State of South Dakota and others are offering legal and moral support.
Fulton says courts have traditionally been reluctant to get involved in political disputes.
With most electors scheduled to make their votes on Monday, Fulton says the short timeline may make the Supreme Court less willing to go along.
