ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The final Drought Monitor for 2025, released last week, shows just over 38-percent of the state in what’s considered, “abnormally dry” conditions. This include locations mainly all locations south of I-90 and from I-29 just south of Watertown down to the intersection of I-90.
About seven-and-a-half percent of the state is in moderate drought. That area is confined to the southeast corner of the state including the Sioux Falls and Yankton area.
Locations in the listening area are not in any sort of drought conditions. The city of Aberdeen ended up with 25.56″ of moisture for the year which is above the average yearly total of 21.82″.
