PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The continued hot, dry conditions will increase fire dangers across the state.

Jay Wickham, Director of the South Dakota State Wildland Fire Division, says they are seeing more people building and moving into forested areas.

Wickham says those fire dangers extend well beyond the Black Hills.

Wickham says they are seeing more potential fire fuels developing.

Wickham has been with the division for twenty-four years and was named director last month.
