SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls firefighters have rescued two people who were trapped in a burning home. Firefighters used their ladders to bring one person trapped on the roof of the home to safety early Thursday.
Officials say another person, a man, was trapped on the first floor of the house. Two firefighters went in through a bay window and rescued the man. Both people were taken to the hospital. Also, two police officers were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. Officials say the home did not have working smoke detectors.
