The first icy blast of the season has worked it’s way into the area, numerous reports of power loss, including up to 1,500 residents according to Northwestern Energy. Area schools are closing early or cancelled before the day started. Eyewitness reports of several cars in ditches and a total of 4.5″ of snow accumulating so far according to the National Weather Service. They have issued a Blizzard Warning and are advising no travel.  As always, please use caution if you must go out.

The Northern State basketball doubleheader versus Jamestown has been postponed to Wednesday beginning at 5:30pm.
