Fitness instructor provides exercise tips to work off energy

ABERDEEN, S.D. ( – The threat of COVID-19 has temporarily closed several businesses like the Aberdeen Family Y and people have a lot of pent up energy.

However, there are still plenty of ways to work off some of that energy, according to Carol Loeschke, Group Fitness Instructor at the Y. Loeschke recently coordinated an outdoor zumba workout, complete with an old-fashioned boombox.

She said it is important to get outdoors, grab some fresh air and take a break from the news.

Loeschke said that Aberdeen, with its many trails and paths, provides plenty of opportunities to get some exercise.

Loeschke, who thanked all of the area businesses for helping out during this time, said that people just need to be creative with exercise options, especially if they have children.
