Five Aberdeen residents arrested during drug bust

ABERDEEN, S.D. (APD Facebook Post) – The culmination of a months-long investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine resulted in the simultaneous execution of search warrants on three separate residences in the 1600 block of 10th Avenue SW Wednesday morning. This investigation was a cooperative effort involving the Aberdeen Police Department, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation. Also available to assist were Aberdeen Fire and Rescue, Brown County Emergency Management, and the Department of Social Services.

During the execution of the search warrants officers located and seized, among other things, cell phones, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia.

April Paw, age 34 of Aberdeen, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance and multiple counts of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Taw Taw, age 33 of Aberdeen, was arrested and charged with ingesting controlled substance, 7 counts of distribution of a controlled substance, and contributing to the abuse and neglect of minor children.

Mar Soe Bi, age 31 of Aberdeen, was arrested and charged with contributing to the abuse and neglect of minor children.

Lay Htoo, age 27 of Aberdeen, was arrested and charged with ingesting controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance.

Moo Pway Doh Htoo, age 26 of Aberdeen, was arrested on a warrant involving assault.

Additional arrests and charges are anticipated.
