YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Former South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley, who has announced he wants the job back, has now been endorsed by 59 out of the 66 county states attorneys.
He says he appreciates that confidence.
Current Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg faces a court date in May over charges connected to the death of Joe Boever of Highmore who he hit and killed in Hyde County last September.
The nomination will be decided at the state GOP convention next summer. Jackley says he has been working that circuit too.
Jackley says he is working on the campaign on his own time.
Jackley was Attorney General from 2009 through 2019. He lost the republican nomination for Governor to Kristi Noem in the 2018 GOP primary.
