FORT PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- If you drive by the Stanley County Courthouse in Fort Pierre at night, you’ll notice it’s lit up with green lights….and will stay that way through Veterans Day.

Auditor Phil Burtsch says it’s for Operation Green Light for Veterans.

Burtch encourage everyone to display a green light in a window of their business or residence to show support for veterans in the days leading up to Veterans Day.

Incidentally, local members of the VFW and its Auxiliary will be selling Buddy Poppies Saturday at various businesses around Pierre and Fort Pierre.

Brown County Courthouse will be green beginning Monday.
