FORT PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The City of Fort Pierre may being seeing some eventual movement with the usage of U-S Army Corps of Engineer lots in the city. Mayor Gloria Hanson was in Washington D.C. last week with a group of Missouri River Energy Services representatives and had a meeting with the staff of South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds.
Hanson says she gave Kedeshi a map of Fort Pierre’s Corps lots to get started.
Hanson says it’s the first major movement on doing something with the Corps lots sin a decade.
Fort Pierre has 44 Corps of Engineer buyout lots within city limits, most of which are between 7th Avenue and 4th Avenue.
