VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- Founders Park, a small area next to the USD Presidents home in Vermillion was dedicated Thursday.

USD President Sheila Gestring says it is a reminder of the legacy of Vermillion and USD.

Gestring says there were several connected families.

Gestring says it’s a small public area just east of downtown.

The area features walkways and benches, planted areas and a small fountain.
