Four Wolves Named NSIC All-Conference Players

Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2023 All-Conference football teams today with four Northern State University student-athletes honored. Dewaylon IngramDakota Larson, and Ian Marshall landed on the first team, while Trey King garnered second team honors.

Ingram started all 11 games for the Wolves this season. He tallied 1,220 yards receiving with a team leading 11 touchdowns. The Texan averaged 110.9 yards per contest and 17.4 yards per reception. He recorded six 100-plus yard games, racking up a season high 187 in the opener against Duluth. In addition, he ranks second in the country in total receiving yards this season. The senior closes out his time at Northern State as the single school record holder with 1,220 yards in 2023; breaking his own record of 1,161 set in 2021. He ranks third all-time in career receiving yards (2,381) and second all-time in career receiving touchdowns 25). Ingram is a 2-time All-NSIC performer for the Wolves.

Larson started all 11 games for the Wolves in 2023, setting the school records for career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He tallied 965 total yards and six touchdowns this season, averaging 87.7 yards per game and 14.9 yards per catch. Larson ranks in the top-15 nationally in total receiving yards this season. He recorded three 100-plus yard games, notching a season high 190 against Winona State. The senior wraps up his time as a Wolf holding school records for single game receptions (14 vs. Northern Michigan), career receiving yards (3,660), and career receiving touchdowns (31). He also ranks third all-time with 33 career touchdowns. He is a 3-time NSIC All-Conference performer, landing twice on the first team.

Marshall started all 11 games in 2023 on the defensive line. He recorded 21 total tackles including nine solo stops and 6.5 tackles for a loss of 19 yards. Marshall added 1.5 sacks, one break-up, and one quarterback hurry. He closes out his Northern State career fourth all-time with 30.0 tackles for a loss and second all-time with 15.5 career sacks. Marshall earns back-to-back NSIC All-Conference first team honors.

King started all 11 games for the Wolves as the team’s defensive leader. He recorded 76.0 tackles, including 43 solo stops. The Irene native led the team with 14.5 tackles for a loss of 41 yards, including 2.0 sacks. He added two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three pass break-ups. King recorded a season high ten tackles against No. 21 Augustana and 5.0 tackles for a loss versus Minot State. He ranks tied for fifth all-time with 28.0 career tackles for a loss. This season marks the first all-conference honor for King.
