ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- FUN Book Friday is back in Aberdeen. Starting Friday, the Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will be handing out FUN Books — coupons for all sorts of fun things around town. We’ll be at a different location every Friday from now until the end of July, taking off Independence Day weekend.
Our first FUN Book Friday will be held in conjunction with Aberdeen Community Theatre and Capitol Cinema with Popcorn on the Plaza!
Come down to Malchow Plaza, 506 S. Main St., between 6-7:30 p.m. to grab a FUN Book, make a donation to the theater for popcorn and just enjoy an evening in downtown Aberdeen.
Keep the fun going by attending the world premiere of “Tales of an American Hoodrat,” a film shot right here in Aberdeen by local filmmaker Brandon Lunzman.
The movie will be at the Capitol all weekend, with 7 p.m. showings Friday and Saturday, and a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday.
Friday night’s showing will end with a Q&A with the filmmaker.
Tickets are $9, purchase at CapitolCinema.net. This film is not yet rated, but it does feature some adult language and violent situations.
