PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Game, Fish and Parks Commission has approved of repealing two types to state park passes. Parks and Recreation Division Director for G-F-and-P Jeff VanMeeteren says the move was spurred by a law passed by the South Dakota Legislature earlier this year.
VanMeeteren says they’ve seen a decline in use of the coupon vehicle passes and processing was labor intensive.
VanMeeteren says officials are looking into making it easier for park users to obtain licenses.
The changes being made to the rules are being done to get the wording inline with the wording of Senate Bill 55 which provided for the elimination of the coupon and multi-vehicle passes.
